Capturing the Magic of the 8th Alchemy Arty Parties Exhibition – St Austell, Cornwal
Alchemy Arty Parties: A Celebration of Art and Expression in St Austell, Cornwall
We had the absolute pleasure of photographing and filming the latest Alchemy Arty Parties exhibition, beautifully curated by the ever-inspiring Mary Clare De Pentheny. Hosted in the heart of St Austell, Cornwall, this 8th edition of the exhibition was a true feast for the senses — alive with colour, creativity, and a deep sense of artistic community.
The space was brimming with incredible work from a wide range of talented artists, each bringing their own voice and vision to the show. We were blown away by the diversity of mediums and messages on display — from thought-provoking sculpture to vivid abstract painting, textured mixed media to soulful fine art. Every piece invited you to pause, reflect, and connect.
Among the amazing creatives featured were:
Henry Beazley, whose sculptural works brought a strong sense of form and emotion
Dawn Victoria, showcasing beautiful and expressive pieces full of texture and soul
The Original Art Shop 2019 Ltd, presenting a striking collection with bold flair
Robin Leonard, whose work added depth and dynamic storytelling to the space
Zara Zara, with playful, powerful art that drew plenty of attention
And of course, Mary Clare De Pentheny, whose vision and creativity continue to inspire
...and many more talented artists whose work lit up the venue and left a lasting impression on all who attended.
As a husband-and-wife photography and videography team, we live for moments like this — where art, people, and place come together in something truly special. Capturing the energy, detail, and atmosphere of this exhibition was an absolute joy.
Capturing people’s artwork — and people’s expressions as they interact with it — is such an important part of preserving the heart of an exhibition. It’s not just about documenting the pieces themselves, but about telling the full story: the emotion behind the brushstrokes, the pride in the artists’ eyes, and the way viewers connect, reflect, and react. Through photography and film, we’re able to freeze those powerful, fleeting moments and honour both the art and the deep human connection it inspires.
A huge thank you to Mary for curating such a vibrant and inclusive event, and to every artist who shared their heart and craft with us. We’ll be sharing a full photo gallery and highlight video soon — so stay tuned!
Until then, if you ever get the chance to attend an Alchemy Arty Parties exhibition, don’t miss it. It’s more than an art show — it’s a celebration of creative spirit in Cornwall.
